Izumi is a professional photographer with ten years of quality experience. She resorted to yoga because of her health issues. She witnessed the enormous potential and harmony drawn from Asanas and its transformative effect in her own life and it’s natural that she decided to share yoga with others. Her first yoga teacher was Prathap Sankaralingam from India who continues to be her yoga mentor till date. Teacher Prathap introduced her to Yoga & Ayurveda which ignited her passion to pursue the yoga journey. Subsequently, she met her meditation teacher, Shri Anand Kumaar who assessed her needs, aspirations and constitution and gave her the personal practice that connected her to the innermost truth through various Meditation techniques. The innermost truth of the individual is unique to every single person and each person's yoga practice will ultimately be an individual practice guided closely by authentic teachers and teachings. This inspired Izumi to lead enlightening retreats to India starting 2015 on a pursuit of "Who Am I?" which gives the students the opportunity to deepen into yoga and to have a better self awareness.
