Jai is a sensitive, creative and earth conscious spirit by nature. When he found yoga, it was like coming home  maintaining a devoted self practice and commitment to personal inquiry and growth. He is rooted in Classical Hatha, simultaneously influenced by many styles and beloved gurus; his classes are fun, focused, naturally flowing, lighthearted and embracing our shared humanness.

When he was young, he loved playing  sports. One of his close friend  was a yoga practitioner, the way he bent his body inspired Jai to learn and immerse himself into the field of yoga. His friend's motivation added more fuel to his practice. With regular physical asana practice, he got opportunities to participate in popular University Yoga competitions, and those competitions created certain discipline in his life. He won several prizes and eventually he was much interested and curious to learn more about the philosophy path of yoga. During that time, he met his guru who is very unique and disciplined in his yogic sadhana. He completed many yoga courses from his Yoga guruji at Shri Krishna Yogashram, Karnataka.

"Yoga is a light, which once lit, will never dim"

Yoga wisdom dragged him to study more towards the path of Vedic teachings and spirituality, the far vision that our ancestors had never ceases to amaze him. The interest was not only on just regular sadhana, but also the way our ancient people had envisaged this whole science of healthy living was very astounding. With these understandings he come to a point that yoga is not just 2 or 3 hours practice to finish the day, rather it's a complete life style that we breathe in and out through yoga. Yoga enhanced and moulded his life and he has seen it happening to his students when he conveys the beautiful message into the path of Unknown. This unknown path is more beautiful because uncertainty is the beauty of life, this pattern of life style has affected him tremendously and helped him to expand his vision more broader and beyond borders. By combing asana, meditation and pranayama, Jai provides an opportunity to explore the Spiritual through the Physical. He likes the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of Life.

He has been travelling around Asia to teach yoga since 2007. He officially started working as a yoga teacher in Thailand ( Bangkok) in Planet yoga. Later in 2009,  he moved to taiwan and started working for True Yoga & fitness for almost 6 years up until now.

My Reflections

" You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul."

"If I'm losing balance in a pose, I stretch higher and God reaches down to steady me. It works every time, and not just in yoga.

"When the breath wanders the mind also is unsteady. But when the breath is calmed the mind too will be still, and the yogi achieves long life."
