EXPLORE RISHIKESH - Yoga Capital of the World

Rishikesh is a holy town located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India. Many yogis dream of taking a pilgrimage to Rishikesh—the unofficial yoga capital of the world that catapulted to western fame when the Beatles arrived in the 1960s to study meditation. Rishikesh is also known as 'Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas' is surrounded by ashtonishing views of the Himalayan mountains, snow peaks in winter and the Ganges river, flowing with beauty and grace. This area is well known in ancient epics and scriptures for its spirituality and  is considered the start of many sacred journeys in India where the holy Ganges River flows down from the Himalayan foothills. Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula is situated on the bank of the River Ganga and there is beautiful nature all around. Hindu sages and saints have visited this place since ancient times to meditate in search of higher knowledge as the exquisite setting on the fast-flowing Ganges, surrounded by forested hills, is conducive to meditation and mind expansion.
